Ceilidh with Ffonic and Kat Bond

March 6, 2017

Chance to Dance for a good cause!

Come and dance the night away with ffabulous Ffonic at the Elephant & Castle Hotel on Saturday 11 March from 7.30 till 11 p.m. Tickets, available on the door or in advance from Newtown Town Council offices, are only £5 and every penny will go towards supporting a very worthwhile cause. The band and the venue are giving their services free in aid of the newly formed Newtown Refugee Support Group which is already working with several refugee families in the town and will also fundraise to help refugees escaping war and deprivation.

‘If you fancy a dance but are worried about not having done ceilidh dancing before, fear not, our brilliant caller Kat Bond will walk you through and call all the dances’ promised Ffonic member Esta Beilby. ‘Anyone can do it and it really is a different way to have fun on a Saturday night in Newtown!’

Rina Clarke, representative of Newtown Town Council on the Newtown Refugee Support Group, urges everyone to come and join us ‘not only will you have a great time but you will also be supporting a great cause.’
